TERMS & CONDITIONS
Hiring our vessels is fun and we are here to make it a pleasant experience, please note the Terms and Conditions below.
1. MINIMUM AGE
All hirers must be at least 18 years old and hold a valid boat license to rent any vessel from Broadwater Escapes Gold Coast.
2. LICENCE & MOBILE NUMBER SUBMISSION
Upon paying the deposit successfully, the hirer is required to provide a copy of their valid boat and driver licence and or ID to Broadwater Escapes Gold Coast. A mobile phone number of the customer and or captain is required.
3. SOLE OPERATOR
Only the individual/s named in the hire agreement is permitted to operate the vessel. This person/s accept full responsibility for the vessel and everyone on board.
4. PASSENGER CAPACITY
The number of people on the vessel must not exceed the licensed passenger limit stated in the hire agreement for that particular boat.
5. CANCELLATIONS AND RESCHEDULING
a) If the hirer cancels within 7 days of the scheduled booking date for any reason, the deposit will be forfeited and 100% of the hire fee will be charged. If a hirer wants to reschedule and availability permits we require 14 days notice and they can only reschedule once to a date 30 days after the original booking.
b) A reschedule owing to adverse weather may be granted if there is availability, but Broadwater Escapes Gold Coast alone determines if conditions are unsafe. Rain and wind are not considered a valid reason to reschedule.
6. HIRE AGREEMENT, CONDITION REPORT & SAFETY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
Before the rental begins, the hirer must complete and sign both the hire agreement, condition report and Safety Management System induction document, acknowledging the state of the vessel. and its contents and operation.
7. RIGHT TO CANCEL OR TERMINATE
Broadwater Escapes Gold Coast reserves the right to cancel or terminate the hire at any time, without refund, if the hirer or anyone in their group breaches these terms before or during the hire.
8. TAMPERING WITH VESSELS
Any tampering with our vessels will be immediately reported to law enforcement.
a) All our vessels contain tracking technology to ensure safety and the vessels remain inside operational limits during the hire.
9. PAYMENT
a) Credit Card Fees: Payments made by credit and debit card incur a payment transaction fee.
b) No Early Return Refunds: No refunds apply if the vessel is brought back before the agreed end of hire for any reason.
c) Single-Payment Policy: Splitting the hire fee or security bond into multiple payments is not permitted.
d) Payment in full is due 7 days before the hire date.
e) Coupon hire rates are subject to change.
10. VESSEL SECURITY BONDS
Haines 1550R = $500
Bluefin 515 = $500
Sapphire Pontoon = $500
Card fees apply. We do not accept cash as a security deposit.
11. FUEL FEE
Fuel is charged out of the secuirty bond at the nearest Marina bowser rate at the end of hire.
12. INSURANCE
The hirer and all the passengers are fully insured during the period of the hire.
13. ACCESSING OUR VESSELS
The Captain and the passengers must be physically able to board and alight our vessels in a variety of scenarios including using the vessel back ladder from a beach, shallow water or a sand bar.
14. HIRE START TIME
A hire starts at the confirmed booking time. Please arrive a minimum of 15 minutes before to complete the required documentation and the safety management system briefing. Broadwater Escapes Gold Coast reserves the right to cancel the hire without refund if the hirer is more than one hour late. The hire starts from the online booked appointment time.
15. OVERNIGHT HIRE
Multiple day bookings are available, vessels are required to be returned daily. No overnight hire is permitted.
16. NO SMOKING POLICY
Smoking is not allowed on any of our vessells at any time.
